In todays current job market, many have found that there is a lack in the engineering field. This is a massive issue since it is engineers that creat our cars, buildings, homes, roads and many other things we take for granted. This cause for alarm has sparked a revolution to fill the need for the engineers. Many people have stepped in to teach junior high, and high school students the concept of STEM to inspire students to study and eventually pursue a job of engineering. STEM is an acronym for Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics. Here are some organizations that have created programs for the inspirtation is FIRST, Project Lead The Way, and CTEF.

STEM Summit
In October of 2011, Paul Wahnish, founder of CTEF hosted the first STEM Summit at the Museum of Science and Industry. This two day event was in honor of science and technology. Featured at the event was Firsts very own Jon Dudas to help celebrate the movement of STEM! Also at the event was Team Krunch running demos of Krunch 12. Krunch 12 was the robot of Lunacy and was a great interaction between the children. In addition, there was a representative from Kettering University, an astronaut and other FTC and FLL teams.
